Tug-E-Nuff, an independent, family-run tug toy company exclusively for dogs, located in the heart of Exmouth, is celebrating national recognition after being named as a finalist in four categories at this year’s PetQuip Awards – a competition that attracts some of the biggest and best-known names in the pet industry.
The judging took place earlier this month, where a panel of industry experts reviewed entries from pet companies from across the UK before announcing the shortlist.
Against strong competition, Tug-E-Nuff has been shortlisted as a finalist in four categories, including ‘UK Online Retailer of the Year’, ‘Best Marketing Campaign’ and ‘Product of the Year’. Tug-E-Nuff’s owner and managing director, Danny Nelis-Rouse of Exmouth, is also up for the ‘Rising Star’ award.
Tug-E-Nuff was founded in 2009 with a single toy for Danny’s family dog Indy, and a mission to enrich the bond humans and dogs share using the power of play. Since then, it has built a positive reputation across the UK for its award-winning range of interactive training toys for dogs of all breeds and backgrounds.
This year, the company expanded its range with the launch of its first ever water toy, ‘BOB’ – a three-in-one dog dummy for dogs who love to fetch, tug and splash.
Danny commented: “To be finalists in not just one, but four categories at this year’s PetQuip Awards is beyond anything we could have imagined.
“We’re thrilled to be recognised alongside some of the UK’s leading pet brands for our efforts to help owners overcome playtime struggles, enhance training success and enrich dog’s lives through the power of play.”
The winners of this year’s PetQuip Awards will be announced at an awards dinner, held alongside PATS, one of the UK’s biggest pet trade shows, on Monday September 29.
